In November 2024 the VA said 730 total units would be open on the West LA campus by the end of 2025. No VA release confirms that target was met on the promised date, or reports a year-end 2025 actual.
Best public confirmation of the number: the developer, not the agency. On Feb 3, 2026, The Veterans Collective announced Building 158 open with 48 furnished apartments and put the campus total at 729 permanent supportive housing units. One short of 730. About a month late.
And the VA's own latest figure: its July 2026 campus construction update says 729 completed as of July 1, 2026, 359 under construction, and 37 of those opening soon.
Correction, Sep 17, 2026 #
An earlier version of this record said the VA never published these numbers. That was wrong. VA Greater Los Angeles posted a campus construction update on its own channels in July 2026 giving 729 completed units as of July 1, 359 under construction, and 37 opening soon. Corrected here in place, dated.
What still holds: no VA release confirms the November 2024 "730 by the end of 2025" target was met on the promised date.

With B210 pending, the campus total lands near 767 if it opens. The master plan goal is 1,200.

The 37 looks like units counted open on one tally and still being built on the other. The one-unit gap between the two campus totals is unexplained. I do not guess it, and I do not know which count the VA treats as authoritative.
